We crossed the $70k line!

Abominable Hits 50k!

Hi, everyone!!

Day one of The Abominable Charles Christopher Kickstarter campaign was an absolute whirlwind and I'm still getting my wits about me. I can't thank you all enough for making this possible. It's now the end of Day Two and we just hit the $50K funding milestone(?!!)

FIRST BOOK UPGRADE - FRENCH FLAPS

To celebrate, I'm upgrading your book cover to be printed with French Flaps (folded-over parts of the front and back cover). I like them because they look nice but they can also be used to save your place when you're reading.  The first two Abominable softcovers had them and now I can print this new volume with the same deluxe treatment at no extra cost to you.

I have a whole list of things I'd like to do with this campaign, including more book upgrades and MORE ORIGINAL ART! Stay tuned for news on that front! Thanks again and talk to you soon!

Forest Folk

Serendipitous that there happens to be another funny animal comic being funded at the same time! This one is by Dax Gordine, published by my friends at RAID Press (I used to be a studio mate there until I moved away to Montreal).

Beastlands is an action adventure story set in a beautiful medieval fantasy world, where some people have companion beasts known as "Keepers". These beasts are kind of like lifelong pets. Except they're big mountable animals with various fantasy features. Their companionship could last your lifetime if you're a good companion, but if you're not they could get sick, injured or worse.

First Up, More Sketch Editions

So, I had no idea what to expect from Day One. We blew through the 100 copies of the Sketch Editions and I had a lot of people asking me about how to get one; particularly people in different time zones or who were at work all day and weren't able to jump on the first batch. So I'm going to increase the limit to 200 in the hopes that some of you can get one.

More Add-Ons

There were also requests to be able to add extra copies of Book 3 to your order as an Add-On, which, for some reason, never occurred to me to do(?) So I'm going to rectify that! If you want more than one copy of ANY of the softcovers, you'll now be able to add them to your order.

Aaand, what else? I think that's it for now! I just wanted to thank everyone here for supporting this comic and this goofy sasquatch and enabling me to make the things I love. I'm extremely grateful.
